Skillet

Skillet is a multi-platinum Christian rock band co-founded by frontman John Cooper in Memphis, Tennessee. Formed in 1996, the group has become enormously successful with Christian fans and rock audiences, with the 2016 single "Feel Invincible" becoming the first song by a Christian act to top Billboard's Mainstream Rock Singles Chart. Skillet released a self-titled debut album in 1996 and spent a decade dominating the Christian market before earning its first platinum certification with 2006's Comatose, which also marked the band's first time cracking the Top 40 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. This crossover success continued with the triple-platinum album Awake (2009) and its gold-certified follow-up, Rise (2013), both of which topped the Christian and Alternative charts. Two years later, Skillet's song "Monster" was named the best-selling digital record ever in Christian music. The band's tenth album, Victorious, was released in 2019, with singles like "Legendary" charting well in both the Christian and Mainstream Rock formats. Following the release of "Surviving the Game" in late 2021, the group returned with an eleventh studio release, Dominion, in 2022.
