Sly Withers

After forming in Perth in 2013, co-vocalists and guitarists Jono Mata and Sam Blitvich, drummer Joel Neubecker and bassist Shea Moriarty aka Australian punks Sly Withers announced their arrival on the scene with the release of their self-titled debut album in September 2016. After spending the next few years refining their infectious pop-punk sound, they signed with Brisbane indie label Dew Process in March 2019 and dropped their second album two years later. Teased by the singles "Cracks", "Bougainvillea", "Clarkson", and "Breakfast", Gardens flourished on the ARIA Albums Chart, reaching number 10 and becoming the band's chart debut on home soil. "Clarkson" also made it onto Triple J's Hottest 100, 2021, ranking number 69. The following year saw the band turn up the emo dial for the anthemic new single "Passing Through".
