Sorriso Maroto

Sorriso Maroto are a Brazilian pop band who play the celebratory form of samba music known as pagode. Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1997, the line-up includes singer Bruno Cardoso, singer and tambourine player Cris Oliveira, guitarist Sérgio Jr., drummer Fred Araújo and keyboard player Vinicius Augusto. Their eponymous debut studio album came out in 2002 followed by 'Por Você' (2003), 'É Diferente' (2006), '100% Sorriso Maroto' (2008), 'Sinais' (2009) and 'De Volta Pro Amanha' (2016). They have released several concert versions of their albums and in 2019 released 'Au Cubo, Ao Vivo, Em Cores'. Their many singles include 'Coraçao Deserto' (2001), 'Engano' (2005), 'Na Cama' (2010), 'Vai e Chora' (2012), 'Instigante' (2014), 'Anjos GuardiSes de Amor' (2017) and '50 Vezes' (2019) featuring Dilsinho.
