Specktors

Formed in Copenhagen in 2008, the Danish rap group Specktors rose to fame thanks to their vibrant mix of hip-hop and electronic music. Led by Sluzh, Jonas For Fa'en, Wanr, and Anders "Drysset" Drøidal, the group rapidly became a staple of the Danish underground hip-hop scene by performing at small clubs and venues. Specktors embarked on a national tour in April 2008 and would have their big breakthrough only a year later when DJ Kjeld Tolstrup played their single "Hellerup Ansigt // Amar Røv" on his P3 radio program Unga Bunga. After landing a record deal with the Music for Dreams label, they released their studio debut Shanksville (2009), which included cameos by MagerMayn, Pato Siebenhaar, MC Ena, and Jokeren. Following the release of their second album Vi ved at du ved det (2011), Specktors rose to the top of Denmark's Tracklisten in the summer of 2012 with the song "Lågsus," recorded in collaboration with singer Medina. This success pushed its parent album Kadavermarch to Number 11 on the Danish Albums Chart and secured them a spot at the Roskilde Festival. Almost a decade later, and after several lineup changes, Specktors scored another Top 5 hit with "Lågsus for evigt," featuring Tessa and TopGunn.
