Steven Tyler

Having spent over 40 years as the lead singer of one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Steven Tyler is the archetypal rock and roll frontman. Flamboyant, charismatic and suffering from well-publicised drug dependency issues, Tyler's image as the vocalist for Aerosmith defines the public's perception of a rock star. Behind the ego lies a talented multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who has enjoyed widespread commercial success. With Aerosmith Tyler has recorded 32 albums, two of which claimed the number one spot and a further seven made it into the top ten. In later life, Tyler has found himself once again in the spotlight appearing on the judging panel for the top US reality show American Idol, a role he is uniquely qualified for having spent the best part of his life in the glare of publicity. Born Steven Victor Tallarico, Tyler is of European descent and spent his early years in the Bronx, his father a classical musician and pianist who taught music at the local high school. Tyler's work outside Aerosmith has included various appearances on other artists's work including Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Santana and Pink. Released in 2016, his debut solo album, We're All Somebody From Somewhere had a distinctively country feel, influenced by his move to Nashville. On the back of the hit single Love Is Your Name, the album went straight to number one in the Country Charts.
