Rapper Swift, aka Swiffa Baby, was born Charles Jackson III in 1990 in Durham, North Carolina. Jackson was an ambitious and driven music creator, even in his teenage years, founding his own label, Charge Nation Records, when he was just 17. Performing under the name Young Swift for a time, Jackson relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and released multiple singles and videos of his music, hitting a prolific stride around 2014. In 2016 he signed to Epic Records and released his single "Pull Up." The song was a hit, with massive radio airplay in Atlanta and elsewhere, and the video went on to be viewed over a million times online. Shortly afterwards, he released the Nights on Concord mixtape while fans anticipated a proper full-length debut. ~ Fred Thomas
