Tom Boxer

Tom Boxer (born Cosmin Simionică on 6 January 1977 in Craiova) is a Romanian electronic music producer, DJ, and musician. After moving to London in 2000, he became known for his audio production work with Plastik Fantastik, while he had previously worked as a DJ in several radio stations in Craiova and Bucharest. In Romania, he found fame with his 2008 album Zamorena, yielding a hit single in "Brasil," a collaboration with Anca Parghel and Fly Project, which topped the Romanian Top 100. Released in 2010, his third studio album Morena also spawned a popular tune in its title track featuring singer Antonia, which received an award in the Best Dance category at the 2010 Romanian Music Awards in spite of the video's lesbianism, which caused something of a stir at the time. His next hit came in 2011 with the "Deep in Love" single featuring his long-term girlfriend, the singer Morena, which was later certified platinum by the Federazione Industria Musicale (FIMI) for 30,000 copies sold in Italy. Tom Boxer spent the next decade putting out single releases, notching up a number of collaborative singles with Morena, including 2014's "Balans" and 2019's "Never Let Me Go." A new single, "Music," arrived in 2022.
