U.S. Girls

American singer-songwriter and musician Meghan Remy adopted the name U.S. Girls in 2007 for a series of alternative, electronic pop releases that began with 'Fravel Days in 2008. Experimental in nature, they featured crude percussion and vocal recordings until her 2011 release 'U.S. Girls On Kraak', which was produced by her Canadian musician husband Max Turnbull, known as Slim Twig. Her album 'Half Free' was nominated as Alternative Album of the Year in the 2016 Juno Awards in Canada and 'In a Poem Unlimited' came out in February 2018. In its review, The Guardian called it a "mix of classic '60s girl group and disco-era Blondie".
