Vitalic

Vitalic is the stage name of the French DJ and producer Pascal Arbez-Nicolas. He was born in Dijon in 1976 and began releasing singles when he was in his early 20s but unfortunately his success was limited and only recognised by a select group of people within the hardcore electronic club scene. After pitching his music to the German electronic music label International Deejay Gigolo Records, Arbez-Nicolas impressed the label's founder Helmut Geier (better known as DJ Hell) and a deal was struck to release Arbez-Nicolas' 'Poney EP' in 2001. The stand-out track of the EP was 'La Rock01' which became a dance floor favourite amongst club goers throughout Europe. The track received widespread promotion and launched Arbez-Nicolas as an emerging electro music talent. In 2005 he released his debut album 'OK Cowboy', and at the time Arbez-Nicolas was keen to point out that the entire album was synthesized with no analogue instruments being used in its creation. With five studio albums and one live set to his credit Arbez-Nicolas has established himself as a significant force within the European electro scene and his music frequently appears in compilations, soundtracks and TV advertising.
