Yelawolf

Michael Atha is an American rapper of Cherokee descent who goes by the name Yelawolf. Born in Alabama, he had a peripatetic childhood and got into music while at school in Nashville, Tennessee. He appeared on television talent show 'The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott' in 2005 and released an album titled 'Creek Water' and a mixtape titled 'Pissin' in a Barrel of Beez'. He made an unreleased studio album and released more mixtapes and in 2009 an EP titled 'Arena Rap'. His 2010 release 'Trunk Muzik 0-60' went to number 16 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums Chart and number 26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. 'Radioactive' (2011) reached number four on the Rap Chart, number six on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number 27 on the 200. EP 'Psycho White' released in 2012 peaked at number three on the Rap Chart, number seven on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number 50 on the 200. 'Love Story' (2015) topped the Rap and R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and went to number three on the 200. 'Trial By Fire' (2017) reached number 18 on the Rap Chart, number 23 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and 42 on the 200. He has collaborated with many other artists including Lil Jon, Kid Rock and Ed Sheeran and toured extensively. His 2018 schedule included appearances at venues in California, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia.
