Yukari Tamura

Yukari Tamura is a Japanese singer who is best known to Japanese audiences for her extensive involvement with the anime film industry as a voice-over actress. She was born in 1976 and made her acting debut at the age of 16 playing a wide variety of roles. Her singing debut came in 1997 when she released the single 'Yuki o Kudasai'. Yukari's most famous role has been that of Nanoha Takamachi in the TV series 'Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha' and this has indirectly contributed to her success as a recording artist due to several of her singles being used as title music playing over the end credits of the shows. During her career she has been a style icon for Japanese teenagers due to her fascination with the so-called Lolota fashion movement, a style which draws its influences from Victorian clothing designs. As well as her recording and anime work Yukari's material is often used by video game producers on video game soundtracks.
