Anup Rubens

Born on April 18, 1980 in Hyderabad, India, Enoch Rubens is known professionally as Anup Rubens, a decorated composer, singer and lyricist who rose through the ranks of Tollywood to become a prominent voice in Telugu cinema. Anup Rubens launched his career in 2004 with the bilingual Tamil-Telugu drama film Jai, which was directed by Teja and spawned a number of hit songs that included "Desam Manade." He scored the music for the 2005 Indian Telugu-language drama film Gowtam SSC and over the next few decades, built up a reputation for films including 2013's Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, 2014's Manam, 2017's Hello!, 2018's Seetharama Kalyana and 2019's Geetha, among many others. He picked up three awards for Manam: the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director - Telugu, the Nandi Award for Best Music Director, and the Santosham Best Music Director Award. In 2020, he worked as a composer on the Indian Hindi-Telugu thriller drama web series Expiry Date and enjoyed a busy 2021, earning credits for numerous films, including the supernatural drama film Bangarraju, for which he released the single "Naa Kosam" with Sid Sriram.
