MC Mamiko and MC Rachel got together in Shibuyu, Tokyo to form the hip-hop duo Chelmico. They released their first self-titled album 'Chelmico' in 2016 on the Cupcake music label. From this album, the single 'Summer Holiday' was released. Also in 2016, they released an EP entitled 'Love Is Over' and in 2017 a second EP, simply titled 'EP'. The two Japanese rappers listen to and enjoy a wide variety of musical genres, which is apparent when listening to their music, a blend of 80s Japanese pop, surf rock and dance music. Their second album 'Power' was released in 2018 including popular singles 'Ok, Cheers!', 'Banana' and 'Player'. They performed a sell-out concert in Tokyo and released their single 'Switch' in 2019.
