Reol

A Japanese singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer whose music bounces between J-pop and EDM, Reol was born on November 9, 1993, in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. She began uploading original songs to various video platforms in late 2012, building on audience on YouTube and Niconico years before the release of her debut album. These recordings proved to be quite popular, particularly the 2014 single "LUVORATORRRRRY!," which eventually earned more than 70 million views on YouTube alone. Her debut album, Gokusaishiki, followed in 2015. Despite being released independently, Gokusaishiki reached number 6 on the Oricon Albums chart. In the wake of the album's success, Reol partnered with GigaP and Okiku to form the group REOL, which released the Top 10 album Sigma in 2016 before disbanding in 2017. Reol continued making music as a solo artist, reaching number 3 with the Kyoko Shu EP in 2018 and hitting number 5 with the full-length album Jijitsujo later that year. A follow-up EP, Bunmei, hit number 3 in 2019. Reol's chart success continued with 2020's Kinjitou (number 11) and 2021's Day Rokkan (number 12). Two years later, the song "切っ先" became a hit on multiple charts, reaching number 12 on Top 50 Kkbox in Japan, number 25 on Top 100 Music 163 in China, and number 41 on Top 100 Line Music Video Clips.
