Maxim Emelyanychev

Russian conductor Maxim Emelyanychev studied his craft with Gennady Rozhdestvensky at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He quickly made a name for himself and began collaborating with Joyce DiDonato, Xavier Sabata, Richard Goode and Alexei Lubimov on recordings and performances. 2016 saw Emelyanychev collaborate once more with Joyce DiDonato on 'In War and Peace - Harmony Through Music', winning a Gramophone Award for the album. He has conducted several renowned European orchestras including Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Symphony and Orchestre National de Belgique. He also worked with Tokyo and Seattle Symphony Orchestras before landing the position of principal conductor with Scottish Chamber Orchestra in 2019.
