Rossa

Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani (October 9, 1978), known mononymously as Rossa, is one of the best-selling Indonesian artists of all time. Her music has been extensively featured in several films and soap operas. Even though she made her debut as a child singer in 1988 with the album Gadis Ingusan, mainstream success arrived in 1996 with Nada-Nada Cinta, which sold over 750,000 copies propelled by its chart-topping title track. More success followed with Tegar (1999), Hati Yang Terpilih (2000), Kini (2002), Kembali (2004), and Yang Terpilih (2006), all of which earned Rossa an impressive number of awards and accolades. Her winning streak continued in 2009 with a self-titled album that spawned the hit single “Terlanjur Cinta” and included the fan favorite “Sakit Hatiku.” In 2013, Rossa made headlines again when her contestant won the first season of X-Factor Indonesia. A year later, her platinum-selling album Love, Life & Music (2014) broke an all-time record by selling more than 100,000 copies in a day. Recorded with the help of several international musicians and producers, A New Chapter hit the shelves in 2017 and obtained quadruple platinum certification. 2019 marked the beginning of her relationship with South Korean showbiz giant SM Entertainment, becoming the first Indonesian artist on their roster. The single “Masih” arrived in 2020 and so did “The Heart You Hurt / Hati Yang Kau Sakiti - Korean Version / Sangcheo Badeun Maeum.”
