Shouse

Shouse is an acid house duo featuring electronica musicians Jack Madin and Ed Service. The group formed in 2015, after New Zealand native Ed Service relocated to Melbourne to immerse himself in the city's music scene. Joined by Australia native Madin, Shouse began working with a series of guest singers on early singles like "Whisper" and "Support Structure," both of which were released in 2016 and featured vocals from the band Habits. "Love Tonight" was released one year later and proved to be the band's career-launching hit. The song featured vocals from numerous members of the Melbourne music community, and its popularity helped pave the way for the release of Shouse's debut EP, Openshouse 3, in September 2017. One year later, the group independently released its second EP, Into It, on Shouse's own label. Although neither EP managed to produce a commercially-successful single, "Love Tonight" experienced a resurgence of popularity in 2021, when the German producer Oliver Huntemann and the Brazilian DJ Vintage Culture both released their own remixes of the song. "Love Tonight" subsequently became a viral hit on social media. Following an additional remix courtesy of David Guetta in June 2021, the song began charting in various countries across Europe, climbing to Number 1 in Belgium, Number 2 in Switzerland and the Netherlands, Number 4 in Hungary and Germany, and Number 3 in Austria.
