Tan Songyun

Tan Songyun – born on May 31, 1990 in Luzhou, Sichuan, China - is an actress and pop singer who is also known as Seven. She began her acting career on the television series Wild Chysanthemum in 2005 but didn’t come to prominence until 2012 when she starred in the series Empresses in the Palace. She also began appearing in more films that same year including Republic of China’s Police and Caught in the Web. Focusing on the small screen, she became even more popular when appearing in youth dramas including Whirlwind Girl (2015) and With You (2016). Tan Songyun won the Best New Actress category at the 22nd Huading Awards (for Whirlwind Girl) and Most Promising Actress at the 5th iQiyi All-Star Carnival (for With You). In 2016, she made her debut as a singer with “Dearest Classmate” from the With You soundtrack. The following year, she released the song “Dearest”, taken from her 2017 web series The Fox’s Summer. She also issued the tracks “Love You In a Good Weather” (from My Mr. Mermaid) and “Sweetness at the Tip of the Mouth” (from Faceoff). Tan Songyun proved to be a prolific actress, appearing in more television series and films and providing more music for the projects she was involved in. In 2021, she starred in the series The Sword and the Brocade and performed the theme song, “Flower Wish”.
