Terry Lin

Born on 6 July 1966 in Keelung, northeastern Taiwan, Mandopop star Terry Lin started his career in the Taiwanese pop duo Ukulele with Lee Chi who rose to prominence in Taiwan and Hong Kong with their debut 1991 album "Confession" (認錯). They went on to release four albums in Mandarin, two albums in English, and a compilation after which Terry Lin launched a solo career with Sony Music, issuing his first album One Person, and subsequently creating his own production company Hyun Music Co. Ltd. He was forced to take some time out from music in 1999 to care for his mother who was suffering from cancer and became the Chairman of the Taiwan Cancer Hope Fund after his mother's passing in 2001. He later resumed his career and produced and released a slew of albums on Xuanyin Music, including "Familiar Love Song" ("熟情歌") in 2005 and True Live ("豪華典藏版"), composed by Bai-Shai Shen in 2013. He has been nominated for the Best Chinese Male Singer gong at the Golden Melody Awards five times. In 2021, Terry Lin joined the cast of Chinese singing reality show Call Me by Fire as a contestant and in 2023 released the single "我忘了我已老去" composed by Jennifer Johan Lee.
